How strong are family ties when secrets come to light? Season 2 of Zussen follows sisters Faya, Rolinde and Nienke as they build a future together on the farm. But as their dreams begin to take shape, they are confronted with events from the past that will change their lives forever. The eight-part drama series Zussen will air from Wednesday, 9 September at 8:30 p.m. on MAX/NPO 1. Watch the first footage here. Season 1 of Zussen, which aired in April 2024, proved a major success, attracting high viewing figures both on linear television and online. The episodes were watched by an average of 1.5 million viewers, including delayed viewing.
The sisters have big plans. They want to expand their business by opening a farm shop. Faya has moved in with Saar and Rolinde on the farm, while Nienke is trying to combine her work on the farm with her busy family life and job.
Although the three women discover more and more similarities, their differences also become increasingly apparent. These differences stem from their unique family history. The sisters share the same father, but each has a different mother and was raised differently. It turns out that where you come from does matter. Even so, the bond between the sisters proves stronger than any setback. But just as peace seems to be returning, an unexpected discovery brings another secret to light.
Cast
The leading roles are played by Olga Zuiderhoek (grandmother Saar), Joy Delima (daughter Rolinde), Melody Klaver (daughter Faya) and Fockeline Ouwerkerk (daughter Nienke). The cast also includes Elsie de Brauw, Abke Haring, Tom Janssen, Leny Breederveld, Cynthia Abma, Juda Goslinga, Yari van der Linden and Bram Suijker. The series was written by Ingrid van Berkum (Lieve Mama, Hockeyvaders), Martin van Steijn (Sleepers, Swanenburg) and Karin van der Meer (Het A-Woord, Nieuwe Buren). The series is directed by Annemarie van de Mond (The Takeover, Flikken).
The series Zussen is a co-production of Fiction Valley and Omroep MAX. The eight-part series will air weekly from Wednesday, 9 September at 8:30 p.m. on MAX/NPO 1.
